Scientists from Altai State University Takes Part in the International Research

One of the top-rated scientific journals "Science" published an article entitled "The Formation of Human Populations in South and Central Asia", which presents the results of the world's largest ancient DNA study.
The scientists from Altai State University participated in the research study are Doctor of History, Professor, Head of the Department of Archaeology, Ethnography and Museology Alexey Tishkin, Professor of the same department, Doctor of History Sergey Grushin and Doctor of History, Head of the Department of Political History, National and State-confessional Relations Pyotr Dashkovsky.
The Russian scientists described and analyzed the ethno-cultural situation in Altai and the Ob-Irtysh interfluve during the Eneolithic and the Bronze Age. One of the important points is that the migration processes discussed in the article involved the ancient population lived in the south of Western Siberia. It was the place where during paleogenetic studies one of the components was found and brought to India.
